Chain of survival: data visualisation
How can visualisation convey the story of complex events that must occur during an OHCA to inform effective resource deployment addressing cardiac arrest as a public health concern?
When cardiac arrest occurs, certain events must occur as soon as possible to maximise the chance of survival for the patient: emergency services must be called, CPR initiated and an AED administered. These must happen before emergency services arrive.
- What does getting help for an Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) event look like around the world?
- Does rapid ambulance response influence prevalence of CPR knowledge? (i.e. are people less likely to be trained if they believe that emergency services are sufficient?)
